Adams is the president and owner of Farmington Landfill Inc., a quarry reclamation company he founded in 1995. As an investment expert, Adams owns and directs companies spanning a variety of enterprises, including wine-grape vineyard management, wine production and marketing, emergency vehicle manufacturing, and outsourced back office services.

Adams received his BA in Economics from Portland State University in 1967 and his MBA from the University of Oregon in 1970. Adams also served in the Oregon Air National Guard from 1967-1972. Adams also currently serves as a Riverview Cemetery trustee.
