Baril joined ESCO Corporation in 1997, beginning as District Manager for the company’s Industrial Casting division. He also served as Business Unit Leader for the Industrial Casting Division, Site Manager for ESCO Ltd. in Port Hope, Ontario, and as Managing Director for ESCO Engineered Products Europe.

In 2005, François Baril was named Vice President, ESCO Turbine Technologies, and he became President in 2007.

Prior to joining ESCO, Baril held management, operations and sales roles in several industries. He holds a Pure and Applied Science Diploma from Collège Laflèche, Trois-Rivières, Québec, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University, Montréal, Québec, and an MBA from York University, Toronto, Ontario.
