It has been long recognized that water is the primary tool in the battle against dust. But more importantly, water can be invaluable in the reduction of the incidence of incendive sparks, lowering their temperature to below that which can ignite methane gas and cause underground explosions.
For the system to be successful, the spray has to be accurately aligned to the area where incendive sparks are generated and have the correct shape and density of water. ESCO addresses this criteria by machining a spray socket directly into the toolholder, the socket accepts a quick release easy change water spray that incorporates an integral dirt filter.
The ITPP cutting system is the most effective way of capturing dust and reducing the risk of frictional ignitions, whilst at the same time maximizing production rates. |
