MIL-A-12560: This specification covers wrought steel, homogeneous armor plate for use in combat vehicles and for proof and acceptance testing of armor-defeating ammunition.

MIL-A-46100: This specification covers quenched and tempered, high-hardness wrought steel armor plate for lightweight armor applications.

ESCO 1/4” and 5/16” Armor Gard plates are listed by Underwriters Laboratories to meet bullet resisting materials standards (UL 752).
