Austenitic Manganese Steels

Alloy 14G (GT-2000): Aluminum bearing manganese

  • Highest available abrasion resistant ESCO manganese alloy
  • Light to heavy section thickness parts for heavy-duty applications
  • Cone parts, jaw crusher liners, gyradisc liners, gyratory concaves and mantles

Alloy 14R: High manganese chrome bearing alloy

  • Light to medium thickness parts for high abrasion applications
  • Chrome and carbon levels optimized for best wear resistance and toughness
  • Excellent for jaw crusher liners, cone crusher bowl liners and mantles

Alloy 14HN: Chrome bearing manganese

  • Less susceptible to cold flow and better wear resistance than alloy 14
  • Light to medium section parts
  • Used in large gyratory crusher mantles, concaves, cone and jaw crusher parts and in impact crusher hammers, impeller bars and liners

Alloy 14: Typical Hadfield manganese ASTM A 128 GR A

  • Small to heavy section thickness parts for applications for which high abrasion is not a primary concern

Alloy 14Z: Molybdenum bearing manganese

  • Medium to heavy sections for good abrasion resistance
  • Excellent toughness

  Martensitic Chrome Moly Steel

Alloy 18CR

  • Low to moderate impact strength, excellent wear resistance to low stress sliding abrasion
  • Can be through-hardened through sections up to 125mm/5.0 in.
  • Gyratory concave segments, gyratory mantles, and impeller bars

  Chrome White Iron

Alloy 33F-MC

  • Superior abrasion resistance with improved toughness for gyratory concave liners, HIS and VSI applications

Alloy 35S

  • Superior abrasion resistance for HSI and VSI applications

Note: Due to low toughness, applications are limited by product geometry, machine fit relationships and material conditions and sizes.
