Tractor Logging Hardware

Wherever trees are harvested, ESCO wire rope rigging hardware is on the job. Whether trees are large or small, ESCO supplies the hardware to handle the task. The ESCO exclusive Holdrite® skidding system is an industry standard that simplifies and speeds the skidding process.

Loggers control the high cost of conventional choker skidding by using the ESCO Holdrite sliding winchline choker system. This multiple choker setting method avoids the problems of an old fashioned, one-at-a-time choker setting. Arch hooks and arch hook shackles are aslo available.

Sliding winchline hooks – each with its own choker – make the job easier and faster. The operator drives through a group of logs after dropping the winchline at the first log. Each choker slides along the winchline and is set to the individual logs. The winchline is then reeled in, pulling all the logs, until all hooks are at the fairlead. Park the skidder once, set the entire turn one time off the machine, winch in the load and head for landing.

The Holdrite system saves labor, fuel and time – and that means more profits.
