Loadmaster® HDP
(Quarry) Lip

The Loadmaster HDP (Quarry) lip is an innovative lip designed to meet the specific needs of the small to mid-sized loading machines used in today’s aggregate operations. Constructed of a T1 plate lip and wing design, the Loadmaster lip system combines the ESCO Super V® tooth system with Toplok® fully mechanical lip and wing shrouds.

Loadmaster® XDP Lip

In the Loadmaster family, the XDP lip was developed for the larger more powerful loading machines found in the aggregate and mining industries. The Loadmaster XDP lip base is made from T1 plate and comes standard with ESCO Super V® tooth equipment and Toplok® fully mechanical shrouds. The major difference with this lip is the fully cast corners, which provide greater strength for more demanding applications.

  • Weld-on adapters are long-wearing, reducing maintenance costs (wear caps optional)

The Loadmaster II XDP is a high performance lip with all mechanical wearparts. The XDP features Toplok® adapters, the revolutionary mechanical adapter system.

The revolutionary Toplok mechanical adapters for the Loadmaster II XDP lip are the product of extensive field analysis and customer feedback. Computer design tools, finite element analysis, and field trials produced a mechanical adapter system to meet today’s demanding market applications.

Multi-Purpose Lip System

The Multi-Purpose Lip broadens the ESCO lip offering by providing a cost-effective, multi-purpose lip that retains penetrating qualities for use in stockpiling and rehandling applications. The Multi-Purpose Lip is offered with lip thickness of 50 to 70 mm and incorporates the ESCO Super V® tooth system with Bucyrus Blades™ bolt-on shrouds.

Bucyrus Blades Cutting Edges and Lip Segments

ESCO offers the most complete line of Bucyrus Blades™ weld-on base edges and replaceable cutting edges for every make and model of loader. Edges are precision punched and drilled to exacting standards using state of the art machinery to insure easy installation. Produced from only the highest quality steels, Bucyrus Blades loader edges set the standard for quality and value.

Bucyrus Blades loader products are available in the following alloys:

  • ForgeTemp® Steel Plate - High carbon roll-forged steel, designed for highly abrasive, moderate impact conditions.
  • MaxTemp® Steel Plate - Heat treated through-hardened steel gives maximum protection against impact breakage in the toughest digging conditions without sacrificing wear life.
  • Special Application MaxTemp Steel Plate (SAM ): This heat treated alloy was developed specifically for heavy duty loader and excavator applications. Impact resistant, wear resistant and easy to weld, SAM is uniquely suited to handle the punishment large production machines dish out. SAM is available for weld in straight, spade and modified vee moldboards.
  • Carbide Plus™ Imbedded Plate- May greatly extend wear life over conventional edges in moderate impact conditions. This product is produced by embedding carbide particles into a heat-treated base metal, bonding the metals together forming a unified steel with greatly enhanced wear properties. All Bucyrus Blades Carbide Plus products are fully warranted to provide cost-effective service in factory recommended applications. Carbide Plus imbedded plate is available for any Bucyrus Blades heat treated loader product. Carbide Plus product should not be used where surfacing marring and etching of conventional steel blades is prevalent.

The DoubleDuty Half Arrow Shroud provides additional strength and rigidity to the bottom of the bucket, protects bucket sheet against abrasion wear and provides more metal at the leading edge to reduce wear.
