EverSharp Lip System

The ESCO EverSharp lip system is a field tested mechanical lip and shroud design for underground loaders (LHD machines). Miners are impressed with the ESCO EverSharp hammerless locking system, its ability to withstand high impact, and its slim profile for better penetration.

The ESCO EverSharp lip system is available for large underground loaders (LHD), including:

  • Sandvik-Toro
  • Caterpillar-Elphinstone
  • Atlas Copco-Wagner

Low Maintenance Lip

  • The true continuous edge design protects the plate lip and eliminates the need to rebuild the lip during multiple bucket rebuild cycles.
  • The bases contain fully stabilized bearing areas for the shrouds, transferring load pressures from the plate lip and onto the hardened cast base.

Productivity

  • The slim profile shrouds allow the lip system to penetrate easily in any loading operation, reducing tire wear and fuel costs.
  • The low maintenance, quick-change system reduces costly downtime during shroud change-out and maximizes machine availability.

Efficient Wear Metal

  • The locking system is positioned to allow elimination of the top leg – which is in a low-wear area – and extra metal is added across the lower leg in the high wear zone.
  • Secondary corner wear shrouds are available for maintaining the continuous edge profile when the primary corner shrouds wear out.

Safety

  • No hammers are required for installation or removal – simply pry the one-piece pin in or out.
  • All components have dedicated lifting eyes for safer, convenient installation.

Quick and Simple Change-Out

  • The simplicity of the one-piece hammerless pin allows maintenance personnel to replace all the components during other scheduled maintenance – minimizing downtime.
  • Utilizing an off-the-shelf pry bar, pins can be removed from the top side of the lip in a matter of seconds with a simple prying motion.

Reliability

  • Heavy-duty cast corners absorb high stresses to provide structural integrity to the bucket.
  • Weld-on bases provide a reliable bearing surface for the shroud and pin, eliminating the need to rebuild fit areas.

Loadmaster® CEP Lip System

The Loadmaster CEP lip is an innovative product designed to meet customer needs for improved performance and longevity. Loadmaster CEP lips are specifically designed for LHD applications and are available for a wide range of machines. This variety ensures we have a lip to fit customer’s specific digging applications.

 Features and benefits:

  • The ESCO LHD Toplok lip systems are the best solution for increased machine availability and bucket service life.
  • Increased operating life between re-builds.
  • Toplok mechanically attached shrouds eliminate welding, so that replacement in the mine is fast and easy. Easier and safer change-outs avoid trips up the shaft or rebuilds it in the mine. This is especially advantageous to captive mines with no ramp access to the surface.
  • The ESCO 12S alloy offers longer wear life with up to 50% wear life improvement over comparable heat-treated plate systems.
  • Secondary wear corners are designed to maximize available wear metal on center and intermediate shrouds and wear out simultaneously thereby facilitating scheduled rebuilding.
