ESCO Corporation Aquires Isys Manufacturing, Inc.

ESCO Corporation is pleased to announce the acquisition of Isys Manufacturing, Inc. of Concord, California. This acquisition becomes the second company to join new ESCO Technology Group. Isys Manufacturing and its 200 employees will continue to operate independently, as a wholly owned subsidiary of ESCO Corporation. Isys Manufacturing strengthens ESCO growing presence in the field of precision modular manufacturing, focusing on high technology clients. ESCO depth of resources will support Isys Manufacturing in its ongoing, aggressive sales growth (300% in the last three years).

Isys provides integration and testing of electro-mechanical modules, precision machining, advanced metal joining technology and the management of complex bills of materials. The company is a leader in advanced metal joining utilizing many processes including Electron Beam Welding and Laser Welding. The company’s manufacturing capabilities are well integrated with extensive use of Lean Manufacturing tools and are further supported by a seasoned Engineering team. Isys Manufacturing’s customers are leading OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) in their respective industries.

Isys Manufacturing was originally founded as LaserFab in 1984. Laser welding and cutting were the primary competencies of the business at that time. The Pruett family acquired the company in 1993 and Bob Pruett became President. Since that time the company has grown nearly twenty fold. It has evolved into an ISO 9002 certified precision modular manufacturing company serving the semiconductor equipment, aerospace, medical and general industrial markets.
