ESCO Corporation Acquires Assets of PCG California

Portland, Ore. — The ESCO Corporation, headquartered in Portland, Ore., has acquired the Fremont, Rocklin and Livermore facilities from PCG of California. PCG currently employs 220 people. PCG will be the third company to join ESCO Integrated Manufacturing. ESCO Integrated Manufacturing became an operating group within ESCO in 2001, and was formed from the acquisitions of TecoMetrix in Phoenix, Arizona, and Isys Manufacturing in Concord, California. ESCO Integrated Manufacturing provides precision modular manufacturing, consultative design, integration, testing of electromechanical modules and the management of complex bills of materials. It primarily serves the semiconductor capital equipment, aerospace, medical and instrumentation markets.

The PCG acquisition fits the growth strategy of ESCO Integrated Manufacturing. PCG, established in 1982, was formerly owned by the Fremont Group. PCG specializes in the manufacturing of close tolerance, precision machined parts, critical components, and turnkey assemblies. The integration of PCG, as one of the component companies within ESCO, will add additional ESCO Integrated Manufacturing locations in the Bay Area.

“ESCO Integrated Manufacturing started as a small extension of the ESCO Corporation’s core competency in metals manufacturing. In the past two years we have made major capital investments in this operating group. The integration of PCG and ESCO Integrated Manufacturing increases the value of both companies. PCG will now have the opportunity to grow, with the support of a global corporation with a 90 year history. ESCO solidifies and broadens its customer base, in markets we already serve. It is truly a win-win for both companies. I welcome PCG as part of the ESCO team,” said Steve Pickering, President of ESCO Integrated Manufacturing.

ESCO Corporation is a group of companies that manufacture engineered metals parts and components for industrial machinery. The company is organized into four operating groups: Engineered Products, Engineered Metals, Integrated Manufacturing, Turbine Technologies. ESCO now has 3600 employees worldwide, and 25 manufacturing facilities spanning six continents. ESCO Integrated Manufacturing has locations in Arizona, California, Mexico and Singapore.
