2007 ISRI Convention & Exposition

Formed in 1987 with the merger of the Institute of Scrap Iron and Steel (ISIS) and the National Association of Recycling Industries (NARI), the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. (ISRI) is the voice of the scrap recycling industry, an association of companies that process, broker and consume scrap commodities. More than 30 convention workshops will provide information and professional development for the industry with topics that cover areas like trade, finance, technology, and many more. A sample of programs include: Trade and emerging markets in Vietnam and Brazil; ISRI's Safety Blueprint process and a look at successful safety programs; steel indexing and price transparency; and a Superfund survival guide and stormwater management.

28th Annual BAUMA Exhibition

Among the best events covering the breadth of Brazil’s mining industry, Exposibram covers exploration, mineral policy, environment, mine planning, mineral economics, health and safety, mineral legislation, automation and human resources. With output increasing strongly, Brazil has a large market for mining equipment and services. The country expects to attract US$35 billion in investment in exploration and mining in the first two decades of the 21st century. The 2005 event drew more than 30,000 visitors.

Investment Casting Institute 55th Technical Conference and Expo

At this ICI event, approximately 24 technical papers on the investment casting process will be presented. Topics include techniques / methods for reducing scrap and rework; quality improvement; cycle time reduction; taking out cost; automation; re-cycling of process materials; and continuous improvement. There will also be a supplier exhibition of approximately 80 exhibitor companies, showcasing new products, supplies, services and equipment for foundries. Total attendance at past events have averaged 550, including representatives from more than 65 investment casting foundries (process / product engineers, manufacturing supervisors, quality personnel, purchasing, sales, general managers and management/owners).
