This iron ore mine dramatically increased their machine availability simply by upgrading their face shovel's G.E.T. from a competitor's system to the Nemisys system from ESCO.

Learn why this mine site has already ordered an additional five Nemisys lips from ESCO. Operating face shovels in challenging hard rock conditions, this South African mine site saw their G.E.T. wear life and productivity more than double after triallng an N5 size Nemisys lip system from ESCO. After more than 2000 hours in the dirt, the Nemisys also appears to have resolved prior shroud retention issues that where negatively impacting machine availability and crusher throughput.

Following an upgrade to Nemisys components, this iron ore mine cut a face shovel's G.E.T consumption rate and maintenance time in half - courtesy of the new system delivering double the service life and requiring only half the time to install and remove.

This iron ore more quickly learned the value of genuine ESCO components, after sampling lower-cost direct replacement (or "will-fit") G.E.T. on their face shovel. Upon reverting back to genuine ESCO product (and upgrading to Nemisys components in the process), they saw an immediate 65% surge in G.E.T. wear life and reduced their installation and removal times by a third.

Following this quick and easy upgrade, the dragline moved over 400,000 more tons between point change-outs. The improved service life resulted in 30% fewer change-outs - which are clocking in at 15% faster to complete than the prior G.E.T. system.

The maintenance superintendent at a copper mine in Peru declared a “strong preference” for the Nemisys® tooth system from ESCO, following a site trial utilizing intermediate bridge adapters that allowed a quick and easy upgrade from the
Posilok® system. The upgraded face shovel experienced a dramatic reduction in G.E.T. related downtime during the trial of five full sets of points. Compared to the existing Posilok G.E.T., the new Nemisys bridge adapters operated for 30% more digging hours before requiring replacement, while the Nemisys teeth delivered an impressive 71% longer service life.
